Synopsis!
As if you didn’t already know, The 7 Layers of Space are 7 unique worlds, stacked one on top of the other, like a delicious party dip of space and time – each its own place and none fully aware of the others. The 7 Layers are both unique, and they co-exist in a strange overlapping synchronicity. A very small number of creatures can move between some or all of the 7 layers, and relevant to our tale, two of those creatures are known as Travelers and Magician Detectives. As we all know to be true, Travelers are up to no good, and Magician Detectives are the best.
This sprawling story follows one of those creatures, a lonely boy named Theodore who lives in The House of the Magician Detective. Theodore has to Travel alone through the 7 Layers in order to find a brick and probably save the universe, though he has no idea what he’s doing or how to do it. While on this adventure, among other things he: hangs out with Amelia Earhart's long-lost daughter, meets several sock puppets and temporarily becomes one himself, has a deep conversation with a dragon who exists outside of time, rides on the back of a giant rescue dog, and has a root beer with a monkey who is also a ghost.
